Victoria Pharmacy (Farmacia Victoria) is owned and operated by Edith Victoria Barragan Torres, a sole proprietor registered in Jalisco, Mexico. We are a licensed pharmacy at Lake Chapala, registered with COFEPRIS under license number 2414045006D00055, and the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected when you order medication through WhatsApp, call us by phone, use our website, or interact with our live chat. It is governed by Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, LFPDPPP).
2. Information We Collect
When you place an order, you may share:
- Your name and phone number
- Photos of your prescription and medication details
- Your delivery address, if you request home delivery
- Payment confirmation (we do not process or store card numbers)
When you visit our website, we automatically collect:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Clicks on buttons and links
- Device type, browser, and approximate location (city level)
- Referring website or search engine
We do not collect sensitive personal data — such as national ID numbers, financial records, or biometric data — beyond the prescription information you voluntarily share to place an order.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- Processing and fulfilling your medication order
- Confirming prescription details and checking stock availability
- Arranging home delivery or branch pickup
- Responding to your questions and requests
- Improving our website and service (using aggregated analytics data only)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
4. Prescription and Medical Data
Prescription photos and medication details you send us are used exclusively to fill your order. This information is handled with strict confidentiality. Only the pharmacist processing your order has access to it, and it is not disclosed to any party beyond what is strictly required to prepare and deliver your medication.
In accordance with applicable Mexican health regulations, prescription records may be retained for the period required by law.
5. Third-Party Services
To operate our ordering service and website, we use the following third-party platforms. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — Orders are placed and communicated via WhatsApp. Messages you send are subject to Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager — We use these tools to understand how visitors use our website. Google may set cookies on your device. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Intercom — We use Intercom for live chat support on our website. Intercom may store your name, email (if provided), and chat conversation history. See Intercom's Privacy Policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies placed by Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Intercom to analyze site traffic and support live chat functionality. Cookies are small text files stored on your device; they do not identify you personally.
You can disable or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to place orders via WhatsApp or by phone.
7. Data Retention
We retain order-related information — including prescription photos and delivery addresses — for as long as necessary to fulfill your order and comply with applicable health and legal regulations in Mexico.
Website analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard settings (26 months by default). Chat data is retained according to Intercom's standard policies.
Once retention is no longer required, your data is securely deleted.
8. Your Rights (ARCO)
Under the LFPDPPP, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Cancellation — request deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary
- Opposition — object to the processing of your data for specific purposes

9. Data Security

Please be aware that transmitting information via WhatsApp or the internet carries inherent risks. WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption for messages; however, no method of electronic transmission is completely secure.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Prescription orders for minors must be placed by a parent or legal guardian.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
